    PB Flattie on 4lbs

hi all its been a while since ive had anything decent to show off but this will do
    90cm approx 5+kgs of lizard
beats my previuos best by 8cm caught at the same spot about a mth ago no camera then

had an early day at work so I meet up with a mate (bobby26 )around midday today for a flick trying to stir up an early jack or two at a new spot weve found in the nerang rv
I was throwing around a 5"jerk bait in nuclear chook with a 1/8th 3/0 tt head tied to 4lbs vanish leader onto 14lbs braid she took a while to get in as she kept laying on the bottom and i had to lift her off ,not easy with the 4lbs. and the whole shore was lined with oysters had to get the shoes wet and wrap my shirt around my hand and get my hand in her massive gob 2nd grab got hold of her (time to buy a net )
got a cpl pics and quickly back in the drink was a very healthy fish very fat assume it was eggs leading up to spring would have been pushing 6kgs only 1 pic more soon on my mates phone

    bring on the meter monster

    Cheers Shin

that fish was taken in the Southport broadwater. Top fish, but I would have liked to see it photographed at the waters edge. It looks like it has been out the water for 2-3 minutes there, by the time you walk 20 back from the edge and get your camera ready. I just hope it survived.

your not far off i thought i was stuck on the bottom and was trying to free the lure off when the bottom moved

    jeremy
I hate to be the one to tell ya but ya dnt know sh t the fish was caught in the NERANG river at least 6km as the crow flies from the broadwater (aprox dnt want to give the spot away to easily) was caught on a near 90 degree bend in the river so the water behind the camera is about 2mts away which is where the fish was landed and the brag mat was where he's standing in the shade.
mate i understand the importance of fish like that and she was handled with care please dont assume im an idiot or a liar
