TFPQ has issued notice of its AGM and extraordinary general meeting which appears below.

We will be pod casting (I think that's the term used) the AGM live on our web site and providing members access to the AGM by way of password. This will give members across the state opportunity to attend and participate in the meeting and save the significant travel costs involved with what is a very decentralised member base.

The techical details of the broadcast have not yet been attended to and these will be advised in due course.

Members will receive emailed invitation to attend for those on our data base and hard copy for those who are not and this will include agenda items and proxy forms.

Firstly, thanks for the email alerting me to the meeting; will be there for sure.
Nice to hear something from the party other than the two or three newsletters that I have received since joining, and an opportunity to participate.

I do understand that the people behind the scenes have been busy so please don't take the previous paragraph as a criticism by any means it's not meant as such towards the party as a whole or yourself.

Are you able, at this stage to advise what the roles are that people are able to nominate for and what the roles will entail?

After all it's no use applying for a position there is no description for; this seemed to be missing form the email that I received. The nomination form lists the role of "committee member" however does not provide any further detail.

All members are able to nominate for all positions, as outlined in the party constutution and additionally a number of roles will be available with respect to the election campaign itself so any people wanting to take an active role will certainly get a job.

Be nice to meet you in person and the ability to pod cast the AGM this year should give a lot more people the opportunity to participate.

Thanks Kev,

It will be good to give all the members (FNQ anyway) the opportunity to finally get together and meet each other. I hope that it's a strong turnout; somehow I think it will be with the vote on the new party name on the agenda.

The PodCast is a great way for every one in the party to be involved and be involved if they can't make the trip to Cairns; 10 out of 10 for that one
