Alcohol doesn't agree with me, but i sure do enjoy the argument!!!
I've got a 4.5 safari deluxe with 4 yam and love it.
We got the package with spares, bimini, sounder, gps, safety kit etc. for just under $12K.
Awesome.
Took a while to deliver, but worth it.
Brett,
I bought a 5m brooker at the last boat show in brisvagas.
It is a brooker 500 safari dlx with a 40hp 2/s yamaha.
Plate side and bottom with bimmi top.
It cost me $12,500-00
I went around the boat show for 2 days comparing all the tinnie style boats and couldn't find anything that was as good. I am not advertising but marine tune at burleigh heads did it for me again.
I am happy with it but alas i haven't been out in it yet but my son has given it a good doing over.
Graeme
Brett i have just bumped the post on my brooker back to the top.

gawby, how does the 500 safari perform with a 40hp 2 stroke?
I also bought my previous boat from Marine Tune and they provided a great deal with excellent service. Delivered everything as promised which is the way it should be.
joeT,
It seems to perform really well from reports from my son.
His mate who goes out with him is an outboard mech and he reckons that it is not bad either.
We bought it to run in the rivers to do a bit of crabbing and fishing so it is not a speed demon.
And yes, i have bought my last 2 boats from Marine Tune and had very good service
Graeme
I must say that I am amazed that there has been no negitive replys to this thread, seems any other brand tinnie will bring up negitive stories of some sort. Must be a plus for the under rated brooker
cheers

My brother has the 5.00 meter safari open boat with a 60 four stroke yammie. Does 27 knots 2 up and 2 big eskies(130 lt tropicals) and neither of us are small lads either. They are just a big beamy boat that is easily driven. I have seen a few of them with 40 2 strokes -- they seem to go okay too but the majority of them i see have a 50 on them.
BTW- dont tell the rest of the boating world about brooker, the price may go up and the quality may go down. This seem to happen quite a bit.
