Bream on Popper?

Hey everyone,
my friend (dan90) and i went down to try out a new spot i found a little while ago. we were landbased and started flicking atomic 2inch grubs. after walking the banks for about 10 minutes we noticed small school of bream swimming on the surface. we immediatly threw our plastics in and had a few hits. we swapped to poppers with immediate success. dan caught a bream that went 31cm. this was his first bream on lure. we continued to fish with numerous other follows. we only ended up with the 1 bream. dan had alot more success then i did with his smaller lure. dan was using a river2sea 45 and i was using a river2sea 65. i was hoping on seeking some advise of what size lure would be most suitable and what brand.

what sort of lure mate hard body or popper or any other lures?

I use a Smith Towadi. Take a bit of getting used to using as they are a walk the dog style lure. They are 40mm and around $20.

i was refering to poppers but i would really appreciate some other advise on other lures. thanks mate

bream on poppers is serious fun leading into the summer months.

the smallest river 2 sea poppers are the go mate. either that or go to a tackle shop and buy a box of surecatch poppers, i think there is 5 to a box or maybe 3, and they set you back about 12 bucks....i believe they are one of the best poppers for bream...and so cheap.

try a stiffy popper they work real good

I have got them on the river to sea bubble pop's, in the small sizes up to the 7gram.

well i use just about every popper i can get my hands on hahah, my favourite would have to be strike pr rack poppers, river to sea bubble popps 45ml and followed by towadis which are great dont get me wrong but i am havin so much success on cup faced poppers. also the bream like no so much littlew pops they like one medium pop to get there attention and then little twitches back and i persiste alot but rewards follow patience haha for some hahah
