broadwater bream sun nite 12/8

G'day all , after saturday nights non-event in caloundra decided to head down the coast last night for a bream fish . since i had today off work we planned to make a night of it and get into them launched at the grand about 2030 and headed straight for our first spot at the bar , was a slow start but we eventually found them and started to fill the box. long story short we stayed until 0300 and left them biting.

best fish of the trip went 41cm , all fish kept were at least 25cm to the fork . still plenty of bream around but the ones we kept had already spawned so they won't be here for much longer.

I ended up with only 16..biggest at 33cm..certainly not all that good a night.

Good to hear you had a better time down the coast than at Caloundra! It was a pretty poor turnout - but those who were keen were there! But what a nice night on the water - much nicer, warmer, and more fish!!! than R2M!

We ended up with 10! back at the ramp at 1am.

And yes - I did catch 2!!! Peter kept 3 and Dad beat the both of us!

It might only be 2 but I was very pleased except that I missed at least double that amount! So some reason, I did not have a suitable rod and reel (my favourite Alvey) in the boat so was using my SP's rod with bait! That will teach me for not checking my own gear before leaving the house!

So I have been to Tackle Warehouse today to "invest" some money!

Looking forward to the next fishing trip!

Well done Jason you are keen and do the time on the water so you deserve to hit pay dirt once in a while

I am out in the bay Wednesday night on the stinky stuff so will see how we go.
