Question A question about butts (on rods ya dirty buggers)

    Gidday all,
    A question for you all....
What size (length and diameter) do you like the butt on various rods and why??
Personally I can't use a rod that has a butt section over 300mm long as it hits my fat guts all the time so....what do you like???
While we're at it what material do you like it to be made out of....EVA, hyperlon, cork, wood, hemp or what-ever and why??
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good

    hey mate,
for light spin i like a small grip, fairly thin just to keep weight down and so its a bit more sensitive, small fore grips and small back grip. i just like the feel of a small grip.
when the rods are a bit bigger i.e moreton b spin sticks i like the same sorta stlye but a spilt grip section with a fighting butt. building a another new rod??

I like big butts and I cannot lie, you other brothers can't deny....OOps you said rods didn't you..

I can't use a rod with a long butt section either, I feel like I have to work to hold on and it pulls the shoulders the wrong way.
I don't know how those guys who spin in the surf like you see Rex H doing with the extra long butt rods do it, looks so uncomfortable to me.
