    Theresa Creek Dam

    Hi all

I know this dam was stocked with barramundi a few years ago now, although I havent heard of any captures coming from this dam. Has anyone ever fished this dam or know of how it fishes? Fairbairn Dam seems to be the same. I know there has been barra stocked in there however I have never heard of any reports or seen pictures of fish from either of these two dams, although I do relise that fairbairn is a huge body of water. Can anybody shed some light on this topic?

    Cheers

    Hi Scott,
There's fairly regular captures of barra at Theresa Creek, although there were apparently 1500 floating after the cold snap a few weeks back. Fairburn Dam was hit with the cold also. Me, I'd rather head in to Teemburra or up to Faust.

    Hi guys

I have a mate who is in the fish stocking assoc that stocks Theresa Creek and he was catching up to 10 barra for a 2hr session but that was before the cold snap

I talked to him on thursday and he said they have pulled over 7000 dead barra out of the dam since that cold snap they are just waiting for the weather to warm up to see how many of the 51000 barra they have stocked in the dam are still alive

    cheers camo

Thanks for the feedback fellas. Thats a shame about the barra kill but hopefully not too many more will die. I grew up in Moranbah and loved fishing Teemburra dam regularly however im planning on moving back there in the near future and was just looking for a few more options to have up my sleeve so thanks for sharing your knowledge.

    Cheers

    Scotty
