Peel
Well,
got out early to the western side of Peel, not a tickle so up to top of Peel, got a few undersized squire and a nice tuskie which went back,, lost a fight with a nice squire, headed back down to sw of Peel, lots of weed so called it quits.
Went fishing with my brother today, his first time out and he had a ball as the pic tells, conditions where really glassy as the pics show, that last pic says it all, had a great day out but nothing of any size got into the boat... next time, but found a few nice spots around Peel .
cheers

Re: Peel
Mate, spoke to a guy yesterday who had just burnt $150 .00 in fuel for 1 undersized squire. Gee if that small squire cost $150.00 he's lucky he didn't catch 2.

Re: Peel
Looks like the conditions were perfect, catching fish in weather like that is only a bonus.
Cheers Chris

Re: Peel
Good on you mike, at this rate you will polish off the paint on the new prop. Good to see someone with a new boat putting it to good use. Good camera work too.

Re: Peel
Yep Alleycat, have one of those pics as the desktop, had to get something out of the day ( apart from a good time) , saw your report today as well, seems pretty quite out there right now, thought it was just as valid to post a report without keepers as one with. The Spit and top of Peel today where clear, SW of Peel lots of weed. Was a sprinkling of other boats out as well, but they like us where getting undersized.
Scalem, Im busy polishing that prop, pretty easy to do around Viccie Pt at low tide as im finding out getting in close day didnt go quite to plan as my brother wasnt feeling too well, came in early in the end, i had plans of checking out Pelican Banks then later channels near Snipe etc after Peel but that will wait till next time,

Re: Peel
Mate just a thought!! i was on the northwest side of peel last week and could see the bottom in 22 feet of water, but from what i saw it looks a very likely spot to hold fish when it clouds up again, you know it had some coral and little bombies ect, likely terain for a few snaps.

Re: Peel
Alleycat,
Cheers for the thought mate, we fished from the spit up to Hanlons,, on the way to Hanlons I noticed a couple of guys who seemed to know what they where doing in close around that NW area with the leccies going, ... and it was pretty clear out there today around there
