QAnyone know of a decent fibreglass supplier?

    Gidday all!
I'm just about to start the 'project boat' and need to start off by making a new floor for my Bertram Caribbean. If anyone knows of a good fibreglas supplier, please could you let me know- I know Yella pages is full of listings, but anyone had exceptional service/ cheap prices? Anyone reccomend a business?
Thanks in advance and keep posted for a pictorial history of 'the project'.
    Cheers,
    Jimbo

Hi Jimbo, been there done that, rebuilt the entire boat and gave it away for $20 to a bloke more deserving than I, with just the pretty work needed to finish it off.

I used fibreglass international (FGI) they are in most centres I understand, cannot complain about the quality of the materials or advice given, once they got to know my face the price came down a bit as well, so don't make it easy one them

One thing buy the BEST quaity particle/dust mask you can find anywhere, although you may know this already.

    Good luck,

    cheers fnq

FGI - no need to look elsewhere, most (not all) of the industry uses them.

No, I do not work for them......

Thanks for the info guys, nothing like the local knowledge!
I was planning on using 450 matt and some standard gelcoat. Even rigged up a mount for the hose off the vacuum for my angle grinder (neighbour is pregnant and her window is RIGHT next to the workshop!)
Thanks again for the heads up, might do a step by step report as it progresses.
