Thanks Garry.
I found a really old tin of Cold Gal in an olds blokes shed when cleaning it out. They don’t make it that anymore. This stuff is all ZINC, its like jelly!
Is anyone using light truck tyres on trailers?

Scott, The Nankangs 205x 14 are light truck tyres and 8 ply tread. The rolling diameter is 686 mm. The original kanda 13 inch tyres are 590mm rolling diameter. This has lifted the axle 50mm further off the ground for Fraser Island. Each tyre can carry more than 1000KG. I am still painting rotten bolts. Redco trailers have crap bolts as well. They all have. Cam what brand of tyres did you have trouble with?
I had a read of ADR 13/00 which is the applicable ADR for lighting on vehicles. I am using the factory lamp housing that came on the redco, which is the part that complies to the ADR, I have fitted 'globes' that comprises an array of LED's, all the required angles (Geometric Visibility 6.5.5) is created by the lense housing. The precedent is that there is a number of globe replacing with LED kits on the market that do not quote or claim ADR compliance.
But the insurance companies hire better lawyers than me
