In the water about 4pm at Raby Bay and headed over to Peel.
The last few times we went over near the Cucumbers for bugger all.
So last nite we decided on a different spot where Ive had some sucess in the past.
Anchored up just south of the west mark on the north west corner. Confused?
Fishing 2 rods each , using squid,pillies and mullet.
For the next 3 hours it was a steady stream of squire. After the first half a dozen we started calling the length of the fish halfway to the boat. 31 or 32cm.
Stopped counting after about 20 fish. That was before dark.
Around 7.30 the squire stopped like someone had flicked a switch. Then at about 8pm the rods started to go again. This time it was tailor.
Pulled the pin at 9pm and headed home.
5 keeper squire, 38 to 41cm and 9 tailor.
Got some prawns at Aussies today and had a great seafood combo for dinner tonite.
