    Mixed bag unexpected tailor

Myself and 2 mates head out to the broadwater just north of Paradise Point on the Gold Coast mainly to chase a few flatty. Kicked off about 6.00 am as the tide was coming in, which wasn't what we wanted but anyway good to get out early, started to throw a few pumkinseeds and got a few schoolies, about 6 went back and only 1 keeper stayed on board. Then about 7.30 we noticed a little surface action which started to get quite entertaining and when 3 or 4 birds started flying above we knew it was time to change rigs and throw a few metals lures. Bang all 3 of us on first cast this lasted for about 10 to 15 minutes before the school disapeared. All up 9 taylor landed all keepers biggest 47cm. I forgot to mention we drop about the some amount. Oh well is was enough to get the blood pumping.

So then we played around for a bit more until the tide started to run out, we got back into the flatty fishing, this was about 9.30 am, 3 hours later we had 15 in the boat and lost 2 or 3 just shy of getting to the boat, only 9 keepers the biggest was 67cm and if i may say that was my PB. So very happy . So that was a pretty good morning session back to the boat ramp about 1.00pm.

I will try and post some pics as a good story like this becomes even better with pictures.

    Cheers Gav

Good to see the flathead building up in numbers down there. All on Plastics or some on bait?

Caught all on plastics. They should only get bigger from here over the next 3 months and more of them to.
