Doing it hard off the Townsville rocks

    Fished Friday from 4pm - 7pm...................not even a bite.

Something had to be wrong so went down again last night from 4:14pm - 7pm. Once again.......not even a bite.

I had strip baits of mullet and herring on one rod and live mullet on the other. I have put this dissapointment down to NORTHERLY winds that prevail in the afternoons. (A fisherman must always have something to use as an excuse for not catching) Almost everytime I hit the rocks and the northerlies are blowing.........I come home dissapopinted.

I will try tomorrow morning with a mate in the boat out of the Bohle. Hopefully I can post a report tomorrow

    cheers

    Kev,

I've been out a couple of times around the creek mouths recently and found the same thing. Very Quiet. Hit Coco last week for xxsmall bream. Saw MONSTERS on the sounder but by the time I had picked up some livies the run-in had slowed and they'd moved on. Big barra methinks just sitting in the lee of the current...

Picked up a couple of cod and a jack at spot X recently but lost heaps to the brickwork and ANOTHER packet of squidgees.

    See y'all
    Mozza
