K&N filter's.......???

Hi Chimo it's N/A, a 96 model,it has the oval cleaner but I believe in this year they changed to a different design of cyclonic pre filter compared to the slightly earlier ones.

Well thank's for the info there FNQ now what do i do with $300 worth of filter's i have?I reckon i'll keep em and get a spare for dusty type situation's.The car had the toyota genuine oil bath type when i got it maybe i'll have a look at getting another one.The engine has done 330 000 k's and still run's well and comp tested very good when i bought it at 240 000k's.I know it wont last forever but i'll try as the vehicle does every thing i need (if maybe a little slowly) but replacement to a newer car is a big outlay for something that basicly will do the same job as the one i have.Cheers Dan..........

Hi Dan hope I didn't ruin your day, I do dislike the ease companys can make cowshite claims, our engines are worth big dollars to repair, I am in the same boat as you re the reason to keep my old girl for way into

On the K&N filters.......
Can they be oiled with a spray of Inox, or is there a special oil to use.

How much oil do you need to put on?

We used to run a foam Uni Filter in Dads AP5 Valiant Variety Bash car. We had about 5 - 6 sets of iner and pre-fiters. They all got cleaned properly and oiled ONLY with the Uini Filter Oil. They worked GREAT! At the end of the day all the other cars would be blowing out or replacing their paper filters and we would just swap the pre-filter.

Haven't got one on the Hilux but had been thinking about it. Not too sure now though.
