hey all, after a busy day at work yesterday i was home a little bit earlier than usaul so stopped in at the tackle shop on the way home to fetch some small glow sticks with the thought of trying to get a squid at shorncliffe. headed down at about 6 and stayed til about 8 for nothing! but some good signs and a nice night. had the jetty to myself-no one until about 8! dont think that will happen any time soon again especially when theres no wind and heaps of baitfish around the end of the jetty, the water was alive which meant i was kicking myself that i didnt bring another rod with me or some other tackle to try and see if there was anything else around other than the no show squid. but a nice night to relax anyhow.

yeh ive only seen one, and that was when i was jiggin for pike, its got me dissapointed coz im craving for some salt and pepper calamari, real bad!

You did well to even spot some baitfish Ben. Dunno where they've been or gone, and the same for the squid. This is the worst year in my memory, both for the shore and the Pine.

Top Tips:

Suck the eyes from attacking zombies using a Black & Decker Dustbuster. The zombies will then wander aimlessly and can bedispatched by the more usual methods at a more leisurely pace.

all the baitfish wer breaking the surface, looked very spooked, but i wasnt able to see what they where, they had a little bit of size to them, do you think pike would break the surface?

I have plenty of squid.......cant find anything to eat it at the moment...
