    Re: Squire mayhem

And here we all were thinking the normal bay islands had been fished out

Someone announced a party and they all went over to check it out. Well done in finding them!

one more go and no more hitting the backspace so be ready for spelling mistakes........!!!! thanx for the reply`s and as for the greedy grubs that don`t understand baglimits who I was informed were back again tonight with freinds in tow I hope you sink on the way back to the ramp! karma will catch you eventually.
sorry to hear about the whittley snappatrappa devastating stuff. and as for the location mickstar well its the upstream end of the wharf and beware of port security as they will enforce the 30 meter zone. just a few pointers i`ve picked up and this only goes for fishing the wharves...... is tides mean nothing , sun up and sun down are the prime bite periods and only last an hour or so ..... full moon is not much good but lead up to the full is normally better and the squire like something about grain and the dust that blows in the water while grain boats are being loaded seems to attract bigger ones and more of them and this has been confirmed fromas far away as new zealand with the same effect on the snapper over there when grain is being loaded so hope these little thin gs are of some help and I hope i havn`t created a nightmare for port security!!! lol
respect your bag limits and if you manage the exact spot and get rewarded as i did good on you and enjoy..... cheers Fish gutz.

    Re: Squire mayhem

swanny come and grab it as I`m on midnight shifts as of tonight so it`s fuelled up and ready to go. Some lads from work went this morning for two keepers and said it was slow goin and also thanked me for posting it on ausfish as every boeat in brisbane was there today but anyways thems the brakes.
T1 Yes I think I know roughly where you got that threadie and it`s not far away probably a bit towards the mouth where I got the squire. my threadie came from hamilton wharf opposite colmslie ramp on a poddy mullet and I heard reports that someone got a huge one of the end of shorncliffe jetty about two months ago. snapper and salmon not bad for the dirty old brissie river!!

I thought you were being a bit generous giving up the location - it's not hard to imagine the squillion boats given the scarcity of the Snapps at the moment! That Hamilton Wharf is a very attractive bit of structure! TINN and i went through there recently on SP's but didn't get a thing! I recall saying to TINN that we should have taken bait - no doubt there would be some nice fish holding in those structures...

    Re: Squire mayhem

the river holds plenty of fish and if others can enjoy a good session go for it. the exact location is still a mystery but the whole of that area fires at different spots and different times......sounds like it`s dropped of a bit from some late reports and if my predictions are right it will drop right of as we get closer to the full moon. could be wrong ( have been wrong many times before according to the missus!!!!)but we`ll see what happens.
