What would you expect to pay for this??

I know a bloke who is about to sell his quintrex and i was interested. Just keen to hear from members to get their opinion on price. Its a 560 spirit(cuddy) 2000 model with all the bells and whistles 2x 120l tanks sounder, gps, bimini clears, storm covers all safety gear. It is being pushed by an 05 model yamaha 115 4banga thats just gone 100hrs. It sits on a dumbier single axle trailer. Boat and motor are in excellent condition and the trailer is bgood but does look its age. I know what i could get it for but dont want to sway peoples opinions. I will reveal later.

Id put it at 32-34 thousand buying private, on provision the hull was and motor were up to scratch. Im pretty sure they had a 4mm bottom but it could be 3mm? Id also be pulling up the floor and going over it with a fine tooth comb looking at the welds,as the tankage says that it would have been used offshore, and as an offshore performer there are better choices.

I dont reckon its worth any more than 30,000,search through boat point in private sales and work out a happy medium.

Yes i think mid 20's would be reasonable after all even though the engine is 2 years old the boat/trailer is 7-8 year's old and electric's are more than likely getting on a bit also. But if you pick it up for a good price you will get yourself a decent rig worth spending a little cash on.Dan........

$30 000 I think would be a reasonable price, but as Paul 251 says make sure the boat/motor/trailer check out.
Oh yeah, the electronics needs to be in good nick too.
Sounds like apretty reasonable rig though, provided the price is right.

    Cheers

Re: What would you expect to pay for this??

The boat would have cost around $34,000 new back in those days.

The motor will be worth say $10,000 and boat trailor in the vincity of $13000-15000. 7 year old trailers are pretty much rust buckets ( need a replacement)

A boat at that size should really be on a tandam trailor and quintrex is a pressed boat too. ( correct me if i'm wrong).

Make sure you lift all the floors to look for cracks. ( if it's been taken offshore it will show signs).

    Hello Lump

I think it sounds like a good rig. Will be interesting to see what speed it does. Good luck with the purchase and let us know!
