Are they the same as a marine one?
If they have a slot that will take a chart card is this a cheaper option?
The in-car systems seem to be much cheaper.

What’s the difference between a Navman or Garmin system for in-car verses marine systems?

    Thanks for the feedback.
Scott, I bought a 4x4 magazine on the weekend and it came with a DVD where I saw an ad for a Magellan Crossover GPS. I have just done a quick search and here's the details. Looks like you can swop oput the cards for marine or street use. https://www.nextdestination.com.au/P...&ProductId=243
I have never seen one so I cannot comment on anythingother than it looks like a GPS that has been designed with your needs in mind. I have a Garmin Nuvi 660 which is only good for streets that are on the chart. Useless for offroad as you cannot leave a track!!!!!

Searay, you beat me to it by a few minutes but it looks like their advertising is paying off
