    Re: Capacity Label

I asked the water police at Roslyn Bay (Yeppoon) about a capacity label. They told me it was compulsory and was introduced about 6 months or so ago. There is a lable for boats UNDER 5 Metres and a lable for boats 5 metres and OVER in length. Make sure you have the correct lable. You can and will be fined for not displaying the lable.

Different rules for different States...All boats here have to have one...They are the same sticker but i find them meaning less.....If the capacity sticker is for say....6 people..it is only a guide line...there is no rule in tassie on how many people are allowed on the boat...So you must display the sticker but there is no fine for having more passangers than the label displays....????....Work that one out..!!!

In Qld the limit is only for smooth waters. You go partially smooth or open you reduce the amount of passengers.
