    Megabass Rods

    G'day all,
just wondering if anyone is using any megabass rods at the moment and your thoughts on them. In particular the F0-63XKS Kirisame Competition or the equivalent.
    Cheers, Jan.

    Re: Megabass Rods

I have some experience with Megabass rods - great blank, very light, wicked proprietary reel seat, basicly all the components are cool and the finish on the rods are perfect.

What were u planning on using the Kirisame for? Trout?

    Re: Megabass Rods

I was planning on using it for flicking Towadii's and the like at whiting this coming season. I've built myself a few Loomis rods etc but want to give the Megabass rods a go. The components look like Matagi's but not sure. Anyway it looks like what I'm after but will check with Frogley's to see what they have available now.
    Cheers, Jan.

    Re: Megabass Rods

Some components on Megabass rods are proprietary so you wont be able to get it from Matagi, let alone Frogleys (eg some of the Megabass reel seats)

    Re: Megabass Rods

yeah I know some components are proprietary but some look like Matagi. I know Frogleys don't have these components but they are a supplier of Megabass rods so I would like to see what rods they have available.

Yeah I spoke to Wayne up there during the week and he said the rrp was going to be around $500-$600 for what they had in now. I'm on hols in August so looking forward to going up and seeing them again (and the rods, blanks, guides etc )
