Mate, I know nothing about the South side but shorncliffe/Sandgate jetty is a good go on a cold easterly. Fish under the lights.........you can even get 'em in a cast net. A word of warning though...............there's some real *issheads down there at nights, when they're on.Originally Posted by guru2

no squid there yet was there during last week for a few hours with nothing, saw a group of others there aswell squidding but nothing, shorncliffe this is.
That's why I mentioned Easterlies. I've always drawn a blank on Westerlies. I have a feeling the lazy inky b*stards like a bit of wind to push 'em along

Top Tip:
Elderly drivers. Pressing the pedal on your right will make your car go a little faster. Forget all that rubbish about suffocating at speeds above 15mph, it's all a myth.

Theres been bugger all caught at Shornecliffe this season I've been going weekly most of the season(and last night,was VERY COLD) for a grand total of 2 arrow head squid ,so the south side might be a better option,cheers Snas

Top Tips:
Old people. Avoid flu-jab embarrassment by not pulling your trousers down whilst the nurse is away getting your jab. It is administered via the arm these days.

yeh by the sounds of things they are all down south, ive only seen one and that was jigging for yellow tail, but i will wait until some easterlies come into a bit of action then go down and try it, see if i can prove you right kev
