    GC Snapper for Burley

Well its been a while since I was on here and yep a long while since I hooked onto a knobby.
Decided this morning that work would have to wait, the weather looked too good. Was out the GC Seaway at about 6.15am (a bit late I know but you get that when its chilly) actually not too cold this morning, about 10deg I think.

Bugger all wind and fairly flat with a few rollers. Saw an absolute monster of a whale.
Headed to the 24's and drifted for a while, then anchored up which was not a great idea as the current was still running at 1,5knots. Pulled the anchor in and just drifted with the current.

Nothing touched my pilchards only thing hit was my livies. I was using a single circle through the nose and was not hooking up so I replaced that with a set of gangs swivel connected.
Came home with a little knobby and a Tailor that went down a treat for lunch before heading off to work...

Knobby about 3-4kg, 51cm to the fork. He didn't have a chance on 60lb leader and 50lb braid, I know I'm not too sporting but I wasn't after whiting
