    Help

I'm going to buy a gps...

But i am checking waypoints between mapsource and Google maps and Google earth and i don't know what waypoint to trust....

Thought Mapsource would be ok coz u can put it straight into your gps...But looking at my maps most on Google earth and Google maps it's of by heaps...

Can someone help me here I'm not sure...

    Re: Help

It will be to do with datum or position format or more likely both .

Google Earth uses WGS84 and Degress Minutes Seconds. If your waypoints or Mapsource is not configured the same then you will have a fairly constant difference if the datum is not correct or a variable difference if only the position format, if both then the difference will be really variable.
