4WD drivers 'rude'
Owners of four-wheel drive vehicles are considered more likely to abuse and gesture rudely to other motorists, drive under the influence of illegal drugs and alcohol and fall asleep at the wheel, a new survey shows.
The opinions of almost 3000 licensed Australian drivers were canvassed for the survey by insurance company AAMI, gauging the attitudes of motorists to four-wheel drivers.
But Adventurer 4x4 president Lance Griggs said four-wheel drive groups advised members to be courteous on the roads to avoid becoming hated by other motorists.
"It's not the car that acts a certain way, it's the driver" he said.
Whats the go with all these anti 4WD surveys over the last year or two? Is AAMI in this case looking to bump up premiums using this dribble as an excuse? If not, why would they commission such a survey in the 1st place.
Maybe the same questions should be asked of angry young women in Hyundai Elantra's (my only recent road rage incident).
Or am I wrong and it's true that 4WDers tend to be abusive types who are prone to fall asleep at the wheel due to being drug f%&#$d
