Well the weather couldnt have been better, not a ripple on the water for 5 days but fishing the daylight hours we found the fish a bit quiet. They were there but not bitting, watched them just follow bait back to the boat 2 to 3 at a time. L gutter was very quiet compared with Tailer and Macks of a few weeks ago and a bit of a kindy, cod, pike, squire, bream, mosses perch, tusk fish, flatys all small and not one tailer sighted. Top of the Moon Booms found some winter whitting but not of much size. The delta behind Boonlye point produced the best fish, cod, pikey bream and flattys all on floating pillys on 4 ganged 3'0s while drifting the steeper banks. Best flatty just over 750, will post photo if mate ever sends it to me. Found nothing around Ungowa or the ledge off south white cliffs which usually produces some big silver bream. Bad moon phase and bad fisherman but great time. Quantity but no quality. Just wait till next time. Best of trip (apart from flatty) watching White Bellied Sea Eagle glide down from tree on cliff at Ungowa to snatch a released and groggy mosses perch from about 1 m behind the boat, the noise of wind off its gliding wings was bloody incredible.
