Very interesting pic mate. How about telling us what they are?
I used to have a 6:1 Seascape and a Penn jigmaster years ago.
Looks like you might have one of them there.
Left to right top row,Surf Castomatic,Sea Streak,Pflueger Golden West.Bottom row,Pflueger Capitol,Montague Pacific and a Pflueger Oceanic. The two reels on the right have the hi tech leather thumb drags. Here are a few of my Penn Squidders.
Here's a good link for old i.d.ing old reels. http://www.reelwidow.com/
I have a Lixall from the turn of the last century and a heap of old Alveys.
My favourite Alvey is one an old mate brought in 1954 and used it twice and then it sat in the cupboard until he gave it to me.
It's funny because you pull the big keeper ring up to twist the reel around. Just like an old V-notch system.
He even gave me the rod to match it. Lenny Butterworth's 15th rod that he numbered. It's a split cane beauty.
It's a bit depressing when you see so many Aussie manufacturers on the reelwidow site, and we only have Alvey left today.Must collect more old reels(done in Homer Simpson voice)
My Dad used a Penn Squider off the rocks and beach then he bought a ABU 10000c. How do the old Squiders rate? I remember Dad getting a 6foot shark in off the rocks at little Narrabeen after a long battle!
Accurate or Tiburon used to make the plates, frames and handles. Can still get them on the big auction site. They are not cheap, but they create something pretty special that should last a very long time.
