Hey Pete... That other guy you saw who was down there flicking lures eventually got 3 (on pillies) but they only started chewing at 6.30 - 6.45. so yeh nothing like last night - maybe the wind has pushed them further out - up the beach - or just elsewhere.
We'll gettem next time mate!!
Adam
Thats no good Pete maby you'd be a better offshore fisherman.
THOUGHT OF THE DAY
Live life like a dog,If you cant eat it or hump it ,
pee on it and walk away.
outsiderskip, You didnt find the right water mate... They are always there.. Even out of season. Just alot more of them.. We usually surf that area and see the schools swim past us all the time. Thats how we know where they are usually there. We've had sessions when it was just my mate and i. Caught 16 between us in 2 and a half hours. You need to head down the beach a little at the moment. And look for clean water with no wash. inclose and if ya get there at sunlight find the deepest gutter in close. As they are always at burleigh beach, and off the northern rock wall at carrumbin aswell. Ive even seen a guy catch 1 on handline thats how close they come in.. Around your anckles. goodluck hope this helps ya

I went their last nite and caught 1. Good size though. Called it that nite at 7:30pm.
They have been moving around a bit you'll find them on the close grounds at the moment getting slurped down by the choclate coloured monsters which have just started.
