    Caloundra bar/ Brays reef

    Quick report

Weather was great this morning, no wind and calm as can be (Caloundra Bar flat as a tack). Had a fish this morning at brays reef got some small rainbow runners and sweetlip. The wind came up to around 25knots as predicted so we headed bak to the boat ramp. Came across birds working patchy bait schools, had a troll picked up a nice 42cm snapper and pulled the hooks on a LT around 70cm as i was getting ready to boat it . If the weather comes good again ill be out there because the Lt's are working the bait schools, jumping and all. predicted size of the Lt's jumping were about 50cm-70cm, quite amazing really would have loved to take a pic of the jumping tuna at the size.
We only have a small 14ft quintrex traveller with a that doesnt have deep hull(15hp outboard) , so if the weather allows get out the and chase the LT's .

What lure were you trolling when you caught the snapper?

I actually caught it on a predatek viper 150 in the chrome colour. It was a quite weird to see that the snapper took down a lure of that size, he must have been hungry.
