    Wasted Breeders

Have a go at this ! Returning home from a night out the Jerseyville farmer (South West Rocks ) returns home Sunday morning to be confronted with a dump of undersized bream on his front lawn .

As the property fronts the Macleay River and the main access road into South West Rocks this operations had to be of military precision undertaken by someone who has experience in the splash for cash netting operations

What a waste of future breeding stock.

    Fisheries have been informed

Mate, as a former 3-week holiday maker at SWRocks for 15years, this is disgusting. I have never seen anything like this at all. The only saving positive thing - if there is one - is that the bream are fast breeders; but this is still just wrong.

This is just another thing that hurts the image of the recreational fisho.
    Cheers,
    Chris

    Hi Wombat.
Bad business indeed, hope the purpetrators are convicted.
Hard to tell from the photos, have the fillets been taken off some of those fish?
Unfortunately there are plenty of 'shamatuers' who embrace the 'square hook'.
    Cheers.

Ive had a life times experience with the macleay river and its the home of my family roots and sadly some locals dont see the huge value of the natural resource they have there, i recall one pro netter taking hundreds of bass from the river nightly at smithtown in spawning season as well, hope they catch the dogs who did that.
