    Redcliffe Jetty

Hit the Jetty on Sat Night, haven't done so for about 10 years.
Hoping for a few squid, but that was not to be. Had the young fella with me so it was only a 1-2 hour session. the night wasn't all bad as my son picked up a nice flathead on SP. His first and was he stoked, couldn't wipe the smile off his face for the next hour.

Has anyone else fished the jetty lately?

    Cheers

Its also been quite a few years for me but we have done alright on the squid about 100m off the jetty with a light over the side of the boat. If its not to calm we just put out some jigs under floats and let the wave movement do the job. How do you go about it from on the jetty?

    Cheers

Dezzer, I just cast out, let the jig sink, then wind it back slowly with a few flicks of the rod tip, making sure i keep the lure near the bottom.

Also if thre aren't any others fishing, i will drop the jig down and walk along the jetty, keeping the jig close to the pylons.

One thing i noticed the other night was the lack of fiishermen on there, only 2 others.
Is this a sign that the jetty doesn't produce a lot anymore?
