Hello everyone,
Today me and my mate Dylan (bass"n"bream) were in search of some hard fighting bass at Baroon Pocket Dam, unfortunately upon arrival we discovered that there was alot of wind around and the water was crystal clear, which in my opinoin is a shocker of a day.
We started by casting natural coloured jackalls and ecogear soft plastics around the lilypads and weedbeds and suprisingly enough it worked, as i was lifting my fish up i spotted another bass trying to attack my bass so Dylan droped his ecogear plastic down beside my fish and after a few jigs, BANG!!!!!!!. Dylan was on, i couldnt believe it that it actually work and we measured both bass, Dylans was 38cm and mine measured 43cm which i thought was a good start to a shocker of a day.
The action continued to keep going just about most of the day and as i would bring my fish in Dylan would drop the plastic again and BANG!!!!!!, i had never seen anything like it, but we found that the bass preferred deep weedy pockets not shallow little bays.
So all up Dylan caught a total of 5 bass to 43cm and i caught a total of 10 bass to 46cm with is unusaul for the fish in baroon cause we didnt catch any real small ones but most of them were over 40cm which is a great size which is a good sign that they are growing yay!!!!
Thanks for reading everone and have a great and happy holidays.
P.S i no i have to get a haircut soon haha
