What's your fav SP for Jacks?

mate another one to try which gave me a bit of success is the gulp minnow in lime tiger, try 3 and 4" models and dont be afraid to use them at night, ive found a lot more action on sps with jacks at nighht.

Ben, I prefer medium size, there are 3 sizes. I like El Natural color best at nightime, or honey pot. Looking forward to using the Bloodup colors when I can find em, I see a few guys have had success with that new color.

Funny its always been winter jacks up here , as the barra seem to slow down in the cold, though catch good jacks all year round , favourite plastic is a squidgy slick rigg in dropp bear 80-100mm, catches everything jacks, barra ,bream , flathead even caught a stone fish on them. but have caught jack on others as well, atomics, eco lures, storm, snapbacks, but at present its slick riggs ,though jacks do tend to take the tail off slick riggs quite often, though if I'm targeting jacks primarily then I bait fish dead mullet in the snaggs and hang on ..

Why target jacks this time of year even if the are there???? Plenty of other species to target that are in season.

A true "jack addicted fisherman/fisherwomen" will target them all year round. If you can nail a few in the colder months this will only inprove your chances in the "season of the jack". It's all about honing your skills in the off season! The buggers are still there, it's just a matter of putting it right in front of them and annoying the shit out of em!

my fave is the berkly 4inch walleye powerbait in pumkin seed scale with a 9gr squidgy resign head 5/0 they have a built in rattle which i think helps and good hooks

and the good old prawnstar medium size in honey pot and purple for night time
