    4x4 batteries,can i leave them sit??

hey all , im going away for a while and leaving the 100 series td cruiser in the shed for 3 months. Can i do that? I have heard some stories about the batt drain, causing the computer to crash, and its not just a case of getting new batteries to make it work again, it may cost a lot more than that. Is this true? Thanks in advance .

If you are concerned about something else draining the power from the batteries just pull all the fuses bar the one for the computer.

I suggest you dose the batteries with a battery conditioner like Inox at the rate of 30ml per cell. Make sure you give the batteries a good charge immediately after adding the Inox. I have used Inox in my batteries since 1989 and I usually get 7 years minimum out of cheapies like the Supercheap brand. Sitting three months without an anti-sulphation treatment will probably kill the batteries.

why dont ya just disconnect the battery all together. Then if your battery dies and doesnt hold charge anymore you can go get 1 of those new gel cell ones that are awsome and you can mount them on their side even. . It wont affect your comp at all.

What about one of those solar panels to keep the battery in good condition, I've been thinking of the same for mine.
