Can I leave the throttle on?

To fit my boat cover properly I need to leave the throttle in the 'full on' position. Is this bad for the boat?

Oh well I need to get some repairs done to the cover, so I may as well have it modified at the same time.

    Thanks for your input.

Yeah don't leave throttle on as it will wreck your butterfly return springs in the carby. also with the butterflys' open more air will circulate and you may get more dust or moisture which will lead to problems.

You've got the right idea just get the cover modified
