In the hawkesbury after our floods and all the muck & debry, the river fish, even our resident braid tanglers, the eels, have all scarpered into deep holes around the river mouth & into Broken Bay reefs.
Can't wait to get out around the reefs round the back of lion island and outside of box head to get into the ocean predators including sharks that come in closer to clean up!
i need a deckie to help me get her into the water after a back-op., but must be a keen fisho, not an odd bod, and definately not someone that'll give me a headache as well as this bloody back ache.

    fish on !

Well I'd love to Kev it's just not the weekend for it I don't think. Just went up to Saunders and fished the mouth of the creek there.
Well the missus seemed to be having all the luck. She caught 2 bream, a flatty and a whiting, all undersize and went home. I was starting to crack the wobblies when my light outfit got smashed, nice little jack around the 30cm mark.
All in all a good day. At least we got out of the house.
Was very tempted to hook the boat up when i got home and head out after a few macks. Maybe next weekend weather permitting.

I anticipate some good reports from this arvo boys.

A little of sun/heat and a nice making tide would have all the creek mouths firing with grunter and salmon. Was up on Yarrawonga for lunch and was treated with a view of Maggie and Cape Cleveland with everything else in between like a MIRROR!!

Coulda, woulda, shoulda but, in the end the house renovations called louder so it was hammering nails (and some some finger-nails) for the afternoon. Man, I hope I don't regret the decision so here's hoping the reports aren't too bullish.

    Well Mozza,

I tried my spot off the walls from 4pm - 7pm. Nice incoming tide with a 1.5 m difference. Had a live mullet on one rod and used prawns and herring strips on the other. Wife had the same..............

Nothing until 6:15 when the dark set in. Trevally and small Grunter around but nothinmg to get too excited about. Ended up throwing back 3 small grunter and 1 small trevally. Kept one trevally and at him Sashimi style as an entree.

Try again later in the week when the tides are a bit bigger.
Waiting for Taipans report as I am keen to visit the northern beaches for some whiting fun.
