Am heading up to Baffle creek with the family Sep/Oct and camping at baffle bobs c/park. Can anyone give any info on what would be biting up there that time of year and is it pretty safe swimming etc for the kids?

Re: Baffle creek holiday?
I think the Jacks will be a little timid with the cool weather. If you are heading to the campsite at the mouth of the creek, consider heading north from the beach entrance, and up to broadwater creek mouth. Great spot, bit quieter, still great fishing, and safe for the kids to swim.

Thanks for the feed back fella's. Heard there is coffee rock out the mouth that seems to fish ok. Any feed back would be great. Heading up there for 2 weeks from the 29th sep.

Re: Baffle creek holiday?
Peresonally i would give bafle bobs a miss. SheppyG is on the money. If you havea 4by get onto the beach at ruhles beach and head north till you hit the mouth. I spend around 4 to 6 weeks up there every july, not long to go now, Great spot, good fishing, safe swimming and thats all i will say! There are no facilities and the beach is super soft so pick your tides, deflate tyres. If you are not very experienced in beach driveng mavbe get someone eles up there to follow you up. Just out of curiosity Shep, how did you find the place?

Re: Baffle creek holiday?
hi adds
i have been to baffle bobs a few times, if you have a boat there is a ramp in the park or at flat rock a couple of k's up the road ,if no boat you can fish of a small jetty at the park or better still at flat rock or drive a few k.s more to rules beach
you should get flathead ,grunter ,whitting etc also dart at rules beach.
as for the kids swimming flat rock or rules beach both places drop of fairly quick
and i have caught all sorts of sharks in baffle creek .
have a good trip

Re: Baffle creek holiday?
Bob's is a great place to stay with plenty to do an great access to the area's already mentioned. As for fishing I had no prob's catching heaps of spieces in the week I stayed there (also in this time frame). with sand, drop offs and mangroves you wont get bored wether it be lure or bait. After all you can only try plus Nola or Dianne will give ya some info.
