787c2 technical problems

Greeting all,

I have a new humminbird 787c2 unit with the navionics gold card xl3 i think for south east qld

but i am not getting any extra chart detail with the card in or out.... i was expecting something that would resemble the beacon to beacon in detail....

are my expectaions wrong or is there something worong with my card or unit ??

any advise would be appreciated

We have a 3500 Lowance & seem to remember having to change settings when we changed to navionics. Have a good look at your menu. The detail is brilliant on our Brisbane to Rosslyn bay card.Cheers Brett

When I borrowed my mates navtronics card to try on my 787c2 I did not need to change settings. When i selected the map screen the extra detail came up.

Have you got the card upside down?

If not take the card into a shop with the same sounder and put in in theirs to check that you dont have a dud card. That way you have troubleshooted and if its does work then your sounder might not be playing the game.

turned out the unit was screwy.... I had it replaced and all is good
I thought something was not right
