Re: beach launch gone wrong
When I was younger a mate and I used to live on the beaches on the weekends. To this day it never fails to amaze me how many times we have pulled people out of waves and those lagoons on straddie.
We actually missed the barge once on straddie because we had a guy in a rodeo strapped to our car so he would not fall into a lake. The old hilux we had did not have enough grunt to pull him out. Thankfully a guy in a lancruiser troopy came along with a winch and we were able to let him go.
Even when I was young, I still had enough brains to evaluate the condition of the ground before I actually got myself into to much trouble. Mind you, sometimes we chose to put ourselves into trouble (not on the beach) for the challange
