Snuck out at sparrow's this morning to fish the Gneerings area. Bloody forecast (Seabreeze) was for buggerall wind. Pretty strong in our faces as we punched out through a nasty little slop. Decided to push on hoping things might improve. Nup - only got worse. Got to the beacon - didn't stop the motor - drifted for a minute or two and said - bugger this !!!!! Crawled back in to the rubble off Pt Cartwright where we proceeded to waste a kilo of squid on undersize fish of many types. We were joined by just about every other boat that had tried to get out. First trip for a while for the son in law so he was happy to have caught lots of fish. A keeper would have been nice though. Not to worry. Better than mowing the lawn. Hope the seas improve for the weekend fishos.

The forecasts are all over the place this weekend. Hard to know what to do. I'm keen to do an overnighter but its dicey at the moment. Don't really like punching back home into 25knts of SW.
I'm just watching a bloke in front of Margate at the moment, he may have the right idea.
