We attended again this year staying at the Kin Kora village in Gladstone. the first 4 days it rained and was a bit blowy so we honed our drinking skills. Friday morning we woke to about 15 knots of S/W southerlys so we decided it was as good as any. Left gladstone at 5.30am heading north about 60klms.
Old mate Jed was the first to score with a nice red that went 9.4kgs which held the leaders board until Sunday. we also managed a few nice trout at the 4kg mark and a snooger cobia which was lost at the boat.
Day 2 was about the same but the wind was about 18knts from the West S/W and a 1.5 to 2 meter swell. I scored a nice red about 7kgs a few more trout a nice cod and a matching pair of cobes.
Day 3 I had off but the boys went again the fish were Reds about 8kg, trout, cod and nanagyi. all up a nice feed for everyone. I went in my mates boat about a 6.4mtr AMM and I cannot rap these boats enough as a very good offshore rough water boat.

Great stuff Wayne,
I see some guys walking around in the AMM tshirts, as usaul there were some beautiful boats and the weather wasn't flash but all and all was a great weekend . We got there on the thursday thru all the pouring rain setup up our camper trailer in the rain and like you honed our drinking skills till saturday.
We didn't manage to get out as far only 28 kms from the harbour on the sunday, would of loved to get out further but my crew weren't happy about the cold and wind, they had been up most of night cuddling into there rums and burbon. You guys got some beautiful reefies

Good on ya Wayne, sounds like you fella's did pretty well concidering the conditions. Im sure you perfected your drinking skills (not that you needed too).

it was pathetic on satuday!!!!! we got offshore but it just wasnt fishable aye...some nice reds and a nice boat

The boat belongs to my mate it's a AMM about 6.4mtrs. We went out all 3 days so that should give an indication of how good this boat is.
