Lowrance GPS Module problems
I have a Lowrance LCX15MT and on the weekend I switched it on only to find that there was an alarm saying that the "GPS Module Not Responding". I found a troubleshooting guide on the Lowrance website and tried all of the suggestions that they had even down to resetting the unit using a "hard reset". Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was the problem. I believe that it may be the antenna unit but I am not going to buy a new one with a recommended retail of $570 to find out.

Re: Lowrance GPS Module problems
Hi there Wazzup,
Is the problem still there or did it correct?? I am no expert on these things but I run an LMS332 and an LMS337 on my boat and have experienced similar problems. What I found was it only happened if I plugged the unit in after a damp night and by spraying some CRC or similar on the plugs pre connecting them to the unit has stopped the problem from occurring.
There are a number of software bugs and upgrades available also which can be downloaded from Lowarance.
Good luck and don't buy that new aerial until you're 110% sure that's what it is..
Cheers, Steve
