Hi guys looking to buy a boat possibly tomorrow. It has a 2000 model Evinrude 40HP two stroke on the back. Can anyone give me any info on them and problems they've had etc. Any info at all would be greatly appreciated.

Have a 1999 40 evinrude on a 4.5 savage and it has benn a cracker, no trouble at all. easy to start. i would get it serviced though, will need a water pump if it hasn't had one for a while.
