    TLD5 Braid

    G'day everyone,

I bought a spool of shimano beastmaster 20lb braid for my TLD5 for jigging with under advice from a friend (foe).
This line buries deeply under tension even when the spool is packed tightly to start with.

What other braids are there that do not have a tendency to bury deeply on overheads?

    Jack.

    hey mate

Common problem with braid, you have to really pack it on tight and i mean tight as tight as you can get it on the spool. As what has happened is it is not tight enough and has loose loops in the line so when tension is put on the spool it cuts in on itself. You can eitheer respool ist back on the reel or another option is let it out the back of the boat when in motion and wind it back on.

    Thanks fellas,

I will repack it dead tight again.

I intitially had the line loaded onto another reel and set the drag on that reel at about 4kgs or so and cranked it onto the tld from that drag setting obviously it needs to be tighter again than that
