should be able to purchase the rubber/ foam from some where like clarkes or a trimmer then cut to the desired shape and see if you can get you wife to make some heavy material covers with zips so you can remove for washing. As far as fixing so they dont move, mine aint normally a problem but in a bit of rough stuff for 10 or 20 kms they do move, I just put them back in place to sleep
cheers

Foam - high denisty
Material - what ever my wife could sew on the sewing machine (can always be replaced with)
Zips- I have zips in the covering of my foam for easy cleaning (remove and in the washing machine) and replacement when required
Fixing in place- I have my made so they are a tight fit and dont move much so in realality they just sit on the benchs/bunks
cheers

Mesh underneath, allows for better airing, and fix the opening with velcroe, underneath as well.
Dont have the opening on the side of the cushion.
I will get a pick of mine for you and post tomorrow.

Splash,
Photos as promised.
The Vinyl is readily available from spot light,as is the velcro.
Dont know about the mesh.
The mesh allows the cushion to breath, and dry quickly.
Make a template of your cushion area.
Get Clarke rubber to cut it for you.
Remember, that the top of the cushion, will be wider than the bottom,if you have a descent flair on you boat.
I split my cushions, as I have access under both sides, and didnt want to lift the whole length cushion. It is a pain in the ring piece, if you have to lift the whole long section.
Good luck with it all.The vinly is easy to sew.

Spash,
In my case,my cuddy cab is walk through, and the deep well is a great place to sit, out of the weather.
If the bunks were level with the floor , there would be little leg room. Also, I have storage under both square cushions.
David
Splash,
The bunk material( Foam) is very old,so I really dont know.
I had the foam recovered,a few years back, because it was in such great nick.
Did you understand about the angle of the foam walls?
