caught this horse of a bream last night down the GC. length was 42cm. my PB so i'm pretty happy with that.

thanks for the comments. sure was cold last night, but it was bearable. lucky it wasn't windy cause that would of just turned me right off. bream was caught on a piece of mullet. not alot of action last night. just right time right place.

Hi , last season i too got a 42cm bream i know how you feel
according to this site a 42cm bream would weigh around 1.8kg

thanks everyone for all your comments. it sure was a good feed as i thought it would of been quite tough and dry due to its size. steamed with ginger and shallots.. MMmmMmm.. can't get any better with fresh fish! i'm so keen to go out and catch a bigger one!
not too sure on the weight as i didnt weigh it. but i'm guessing maybe 1.3kg?
not a bad fish mate considering that that fish would be around 30 - 35 years old ! think how many peices of bait and plastics that thing would have seen , the old mullet strip nice one mate
shame that it didnt go back who knowqs how old it could have got to maybe 40 years
There's nothing wrong with keeping and eating your catch. It was legal, that's all that counts. And a nice bream too mate.
