First serious SP sesion in Passage

My brother and I have been dabbling in the trying art of Placcies with little to no luck. Possibly because we were always distracted by the bait rod.
But this morning was the first SP only session. It started at 0600 with us making lots of noise at home (Wife not real happy I'll tell ya )
In the water at Donnybrook at 0630 went to the spots that I had scoped out during a family cruise trip.

The beginning was slow and windy so we went to plan B. The action started to heat up got a good hook up only to lose it . Moving to any spot my brother says yep I'm on with a short tussle he brings in a legal moses (his first ever fish on SP) which for some reason released in the moment . In the same spot around fallen logs we got 2 small flatties.

Went to another spot that was a shot in the dark i come up with a another decent fight with a 32cm Bream landed. Not bad considering we were targeting flatty.

I think the SP bug is taking hold of us both now.I hope that persistence and more home work the legal catch rate will improve. Certainly a fun day on the water.

Sorry no pictures as I was enough trouble getting what i did out of the house

    congrats Neil!
did the same yesterday with a mate (thanks gav)- watched him pull in 2 nice 46/47cm flatties whilst I caught a heep of weed! -got soaked, blown away after drifting around for a couple of hours and went back to posi A. Then bang flattie time on the Gulp- nuclear chicken - ye ha 2 more for me 45 and 47 cm - we didnt think we'd catch a thing in that howling wind and chop but all in all a great avo and no smelly fingers or dead bait left in my boat!
    pics to come
    cheers
    morto

    G'day Neil

    Welcome to the Darkside

Did you enjoy getting home and not smelling of fish?
