ID of individual fish?
Hey everyone,
I want to start tagging fish in the dam I've stocked to get an idea of growth rates, how many I catch, survival rates, etc. But, I don't know how to tag fish the usual way nor do I have the equipment. Maybe a small zip-tie attached to one of the dorsal spines, then trimmed to about 1 inch, would work? Although, the fin might get infected. Any ideas? BTW there are yellowbelly and bass in the dam between 20 - 40cm.
Thanks,
Tim.

If you get onto Suntag (www.info-fish.net) they can fit you out.

maybe get a needle and wrap some coloured thread thru the webbing stuff on its dorsal fin and wrap it around a spike, dont see how it would hurt the fish that much seeing as your only putting a needle thru thin membrane stuff if you get me
