The deckie went out and bought some new bungs for our boat and on the next trip the water p****ssed through the bung (must be her fault, not mine).
On checking found out there are two types of bungs, a fine thread and wide thread. I have had a few boats in my time and obviously showing my naivety, I never realised there was such a thing as a fine thread bung.
Why the two different thread patterns and for what purpose please.

I had the same dilemma as you, although i checked to make sure my new biing fitted properly before i ook it out. once i relized it didnt. i took it back and exchanged it. But i do think its stupid to have 2 types.
Wait till ya get an O-ring type bung and none of those other ones fit

There's nothing worse than an " O ring Bung that doesn't fit" and I'm not going any further with that. Do you get them in the "Valley".
