What I Dont Like About Ausfish.

Why is it that some people have to butt in on a post that doesnt concern them and make so called smart comments.( I call it insulting)
A recent example is a new member placed a post requesting the feasability of purchasing a 6hp outboard in two sections neither or which was in the wanted to buy. In one post another member politely suggested to put in the wanted to buy. In the other post there were ,at least to my mind , two totally useless posts one of which is quite insulting to the new member.
In other words if you cant be helpful or constructive SHUT UP and leave other members enjoy the site.
There are plenty of w anker sites where you can rant and rave and show your ignorance.

It's not just Ausfish mate, it happens on allmost every forum. There's always got to be a few egos. At least the mods here keep it to a dull roar.

I agree, this forum is quite good compared to some others I've been on. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with a good old-fashioned roast, provided it's an actual argument and not just insult swapping. It's not so good when it puts down some poor newbie who's seeking advice though -- even if they do want a barra combo for $10.

Sometimes there is a very fine line between having a go and pushing it just that little bit over the edge and someone feels insulted!

A new member who does not yet know a few of the "characters" around here, might not take what is written the same way some of the longer term members would!

I always read over what I have written a few times before I hit the post reply button! It normally keeps me out of trouble!

Unfortunately there will always be people jumping onto the site simply to try and spoil what they don't have.

Simple message is this, we are all intelligent individuals, if you have an opinion, that is fine, I have mine, thats also fine, just don't go to the 4 corners of the globe trying to convince me your opinion is more correct than mine !!
