My brother did recently (last Wednesday night I think) and caught nothing but catties. He and mate went shore based using surface lures. He tried to make it more enjoyable by calling them "Hairy Lip Bass"!
no mate but heading up to somerset on saturday for a week of fishing and chasing redclaw with a few mates( + all the missus and kids)- should be great- let you know how we get on- at least its not as busy as easter.

Mate will look at my soft plastics and let you know what i have.
I have already put 2 posts for tips on fishing and redclaw hunting but no responses as yet and that was 3 days ago. Either nobody has been fishing or after redclaw at somerset for a while or they just do not want to help the average angler.
